Educational Mentoring |
The Community Solutions Educational Mentoring Program includes a flexible array of services initiated by the mentor to improve the client’s academic performance and school attendance/involvement. The mentor meets with the client, parent/caregiver and visits the educational institution prior to creating an Academic Enhancement Plan. This plan is individualized according to client and family challenges and may include any or all of the following activities:
OutcomesThe ultimate goal of all educational mentoring intervention is improved performance in the classroom as evidenced by improved grades, improved school attendance and progress toward successful completion of the present grade.

Family ParticipationAll Mentoring activities include clear communication with parents and guardians to ensure all parties are working together to ensure academic progress. Educational mentors work with the parents to ensure the home environment is supportive of school activities. One of their chief responsibilities is to build a bridge between the home and the school and to enable the entire family to support learning and education.
