Substance Abuse Treatment Continuum
Through our Taheima Recovery Services, Community Solutions offers a continuum of substance abuse programs to address the needs of the whole family.
Treatment activities include reading selections from relevant literature, written exercises, individual discussions with clinical staff, group discussions with fellow individuals in treatment led by clinical staff, educational sessions covering a variety of topics (e.g. biological basis of addiction), and skills development workshops to improve functioning in domains key to recovery, such as social skills, stress management skills, occupational skills (finding and keeping a job), and financial management skills. Groups are led by CSACs and subject matter experts to assist clients in developing an achievable personal plan during treatment and at the conclusion of treatment.
Residential Substance Abuse Program, Taheima Place
The Community Solutions’ (CS) residential substance abuse program offers a safe, comfortable and structured living environment for men and women seeking a drug and alcohol-free life. The program, based upon the tenets of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, is capable of addressing opiate and other substance addiction, alcohol treatment and co-occurring disorders requiring a combination of substance abuse treatment alongside mental health therapies. Clients have the opportunity to initiate their individual sobriety plan under the direction of our trained Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC's) and licensed counselors. Each resident develops a realistic lifestyle plan to implement while onsite, and most importantly, upon graduating from the program. A unique aspect of the program is the attention given to financial planning and literacy, building a supportive network of friends and family and linkage to people and activities that enhance the chances of a sustained recovery.
